  3. ScanFax! is a computer program specifically designed to work with TPC.INT. It 
  4. allows users to scan or import graphics files, such as BMP, GIF, PCX, PNG, 
  5. TIF, TGA and JPG, optionally manipulate the image, and 'fax' it by sending 
  6. it to via the TPC.INT.

  9. New Features With V1.2

  11. 1.We have fixed a bug in the UNINSTALL program. For the people who have 
  12. already downloaded ScanFax!: DO NOT USE THE UNISTALL PROGRAM WITH SCANFAX!. 
  13. If you need to remove ScanFax!, remove all files from the ScanFax installed 
  14. directory and manually remove the SanFax icons or menu entries in the Win95 
  15. Start menu.

  17. 2.No Access ODBC drivers are needed. This makes unnecessary to install or 
  18. download the ODBC drivers from Microsoft. However, if you have already 
  19. installed ScanFax! you will have to rebuild your address book.

  21. 3.Support for sending PostScript files formats as well as TIFF group 3. 
  22.  
  23. 4.Even better User Interface, including the ability to abort transmission.

  28. Scanfax! is a 32-bit program. It runs on Win95 and Windows-NT 
  29. (although at this time the NT version has not been tested extensively).
  30. A Win 3.1 version is planed.

  32. ScanFax! software has the following features:

  34. 1. Image viewer-editor - The images can be read from a file or scanned in. 
  35. Supports all popular graphics file formats - BMP, GIF, PCX, PNG, TIF, TGA 
  36. and JPG. The image can be edited by rotating, shrinking and expanding, 
  37. changing colors and applying special effects.

  39. 2. Scanner capabilities - works with any scanner with TWAIN interface to 
  40. scan an image and edit it before sending to destination fax.

  42. 3. Built-in e-mail - converts the image into a TIFF group 3 and PostScript 
  43. format and e-mails it. The user need only enter the destination fax number. 
  44. No need to invoke the Win95 Exchange or Eudora.

  46. 4. Message capabilities - the user can also enter a brief message to be sent 
  47. with the image.

  49. 5. Address book capabilities - save the names and faxes of your recipients 
  50. in an easy to use address book. No need to invoke separate address book 
  51. screen. All editing is done on the main screen.

  53. 6. Easy to use interface - all the manipulation is done on the same screen. 
  54. Need only enter the destination fax number (or select a recipient from 
  55. a list), click on the [SCAN] button to scan the image, and click on the 
  56. [SEND] button to send the image.
